General Membership Business Meeting Minutes
March 5, 2025
PRESIDENT: Mike Stone
Mike welcomed everyone to the meeting and reminded them to sign in. Once phones were
silenced, members stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. Mike thanked Nick and Cheryl for
organizing the poker run. Ron Boone won the best poker hand with two pairs, Ace high.
Executive Board Meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month and all members are welcome
to attend. The meetings are at Mimi’s at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast with the meeting starting at 9:30
a.m.
Forms were handed out tonight so everyone attending could update their information for the
website.
Linda Yanss would like anyone who has questions regarding the website to please use her email
address, corvclubmc@gmail.com, as she pays special attention to answer questions promptly.
Jim Meara has contacted me about upgrades to C6 and C7 corvettes with magnetic shock control.
Jim has designed a module that is a simple install. He has been traveling to different states
meeting with corvette clubs to make this upgrade. The closest he will be to us is in the Villages.

VICE PRESIDENT: Tina Farabee
New Members/Visitors: Tom and Sue Markferding are lucky enough to have two corvettes, one
is a 1975 yellow T-Top, and the other is a 2006 Monterey Red Coupe. Eddie and Alice Galuska
have a 2025 Competition Yellow Stingray.
Our visitor was Jim McArdle’s daughter.
New Car Purchases/Changes: Ron Hall is sporting a 2016 3LT Black Corvette that he purchased
with 2100 miles on it. Patrick and Carol Rolph have a 2005 Metallic Orange and a 2019 Grey
Stingray.
Service Providers Pros/Cons: Ocala Audio received a great review from John Farabee.
Unfortunately, Larry Heier gave a poor review of Sullivan Cadillac which seemed surprising
since they are our corporate sponsor. This will be brought to Rich Gruber’s attention to resolve.
Jim Winburn had his 2025 red 2 LT ceramic coated in Bellview which he spoke highly of.
Trophies/Rewards: Karen Dold won the Best Corvette at the Tax Collector Show and received an
honorable mention at the Honeybee Festival.
Arnette House Update: No information to report.
CCMC Spring Picnic: The picnic is being held April 27 th at Shell’s Car Barn. This is a catered
event, and the cost is $15 per person. Please pay Tina at the April 2 nd meeting if you have not
done so. This will be the last call for tickets.
SECRETARY: Joyce Stone
February General Membership Business Meeting Minutes: A motion was made to approve the
minutes as posted, second made, all in favor; therefore, the February General Membership
Business Meeting Minutes were accepted.
TREASURER: Jack Carroll
Financial Report: Beginning balance February 1 st was $18,107.15. Two bank deposits were made
plus five mobile deposits totaling $2,746.00. Four checks were written totaling $816.62. An ePay
was made totaling $387.00. The bank fee was $5.61. Ending balance February 28 th was
$19,643.92. A motion was made to approve the February Financial Statement, second made, all
in favor; therefore, the February Financial Statement was accepted as stated.
Jack notified the membership that the 2025 budget was brought before the board and the board
has approved it. Therefore, the proceeds for charities is $8000; $6000 will be given to Arnette
House to improve their education needs for the children and $2000 will be given to Interfaith
Backpack Program Food4Kids. We donate $2500 In-Kind Service picking up and delivering
bags of food to Harbour View Elementary School 39 weeks a school year as well as donate food
items we collect at the Christmas Party.
SPONSOR COORDINATOR: Roger Duty
Roger explained the cost for sponsorship plaques to be given to our sponsors will be $575. We
currently have 20 sponsors. A motion was made to approve the cost of $575, second made, all in
favor, those opposing none, motion carries. The plaques will be ordered.
EVENT COORDINATOR: Nick D’Altilio and Cheryl Whiteley
March: Two Tails Elephant Ranch March 14 th . This has been rescheduled from January as it was
too cold for the elephants; Ice Cream Social at Jeremiah’s March 19 th ; Blackwater Grill March
26 th .
April: CCMC Spring Picnic April 27 th .
May: Sullivan’s Car Show May 3 rd ; Ice Cream Cruise-In at Twistee Treat May 21 st ; Memorial
Day Cruise May 24 th .
Looking ahead Cheryl talked about a cruise to Sanford to take a paddleboat ride down the St.
John’s River with a 3-course lunch served in an air-conditioned dining room on the boat. The
cost is $72.80 per person and must be paid to Cheryl so she can put down the deposit. We need at
least 20 people to attend for the group rate. The date is set for July 17 th . Please pay at the April 2 nd
meeting if you plan on attending.
NCM AMBASSADOR: Dave Rosser
NCM News: The NCM has a new board of directors and a new president who seems to be more
car oriented than administration.
The membership dues of CCMC with the NCM is up for renewal for another five years at $600.
A motion was made to pay the membership dues of $600 for five years, second made, all in
favor, opposing none; therefore, the treasurer will send NCM a check for $600.
NCM Events: The 28 th Michelin Bash will be in April. In June, NCM Museum in Motion is on
the move again this year attending the endurance race in Le Mans, France. My wife Robin and I
will be attending.
Remember to sign your name on the list at the sign-in table if you have contacted the NCM
regarding insurance, bought a brick or lottery ticket for a new car, visited the museum, etc. as the
club will get points and recognition for being an active club.

page you can sign into is ccmcfl.org/zr1. There you will find all the information such as CCMC
news, membership list, picture gallery, event signup, etc. This website address is for members
only. If you have any questions on navigating or signing up for an event, please email me at
corvclubmc@gmail.com, I pay special attention to this address so I can answer quickly.
CAR SHOW: Roger Peterson
I am pleased to tell everyone the co-chair for the car show is Larry Tennison. The next car show
meeting is March 12 th . If you are interested in collaborating with the chairperson of any
committee, please join us. The meeting is at Mimi’s, breakfast at 8:30 a.m., meeting starting at
9:30 a.m. The show shirt is $18. The theme is “Save the Wave,” and the feature car is the
Bumper Car. Currently we have one C1, one C3 and one bumper car registered.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Sunshine/Club Shirts: Nikki Colom
Cards went out to Sue Carroll, Gail Messenger, Joyce Read, and Paul Logas.
The club shirt is a white-collar polo shirt for men and a white shirt/blouse for the ladies.
Purchase your shirt(s), bring them to a meeting with the money and Nikki will have them
embroidered and returned at the next meeting. The logo and name is $15. Checks can be made
out to Brenda Hawter. All shirt embroidery/logo sales must go through CCMC.
Club Hats/Visors: Don Messenger
Mesh hats and fabric hats as well as visors with the club logo already on are $15 each and are
available at all meetings.
Club Badges: Ernie Brandes
Magnetic name badges are available for $11. See me after the meeting to order and the badge
will be returned to you at the next meeting.
Food4Kids: Ernie Brandes
Thank you, Roger, and Nancy Duty, for picking up and delivering food bags to the school in
February. Tom and Linda Jones will be doing this in March.
RAFFLES:
50/50: Linda Yanss won $93.
Mimi’s Gift Card: Glenn Chauvin won the $10 gift card.
Auction: Tim Chick bid the highest at $15 for a 1000-piece corvette puzzle with the money
going to our charities.
MOTION TO ADJOURN: A motion was made to adjourn the meeting, second made, all in
favor; therefore, the March General Membership Business Meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
