General Membership Business Meeting Minutes
September 3, 2025
PRESIDENT: Mike Stone
Mike called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the membership in the Pledge of
Allegiance. August was a busy month. The brunch at Harbor Hills was a great success with 40
people attending. Thank you, Ernie, for arranging this event. Cheryl arranged a boat tour at
Silver Springs with lunch at Drifters. What a wonderful day that was with good attendance.
Thank you, Cheryl. Our ORF’s breakfasts and monthly dinners have had a decline recently in
attendance. Roger and Luis arrange these outings for the membership. Please plan to attend
whenever possible. As always check out the website and your emails to keep up-to-date on any
changes.
VICE PRESIDENT: Tina Farabee
Membership Update: 77
New Members/Visitors: Ron Jensen and Rhonda Spotts who are old members rejoined this
evening having purchased a 2025 White with Black interior corvette. Welcome!!
New Car Purchases/Changes: None
Service Providers Pros/Cons: Glen Sims gave a rave review on Eastside Auto in Ocala where he
received an oil change for $30. Thanks Glen.
Trophies/Awards: Ron Hall won Best Contemporary Corvette at the Festival of Speed for his
Black 2016 Corvette. Wayne Tanner won American Muscle Car for his 1967 GTO.
Congratulations!
By-Laws Update: Upon review of the By-Laws, it is recommended that the statement from the
Responsibilities of the Secretary be moved to the Vice President stating, “The Vice President
shall keep an up-to-date record of all members along with a roll call of members attending
meetings. The Vice President shall maintain the Club Membership Roster on the website under
“Members Only” access to keep it current and accurate based on the paid roster from the
Treasurer’s bookkeeping as the source document.”
It is also recommended that the statement from the Responsibilities of the Secretary be moved to
the Treasurer stating, “The Treasurer shall post financial reports to the website in a timely
manner.”
As this is the second reading of the By-Laws recommendation, a motion was made to approve
the changes, second made, all in favor, opposed none; therefore, the By-Laws updates will be
made.
Holiday Party: Monies will be collected at the October and November General Membership
Meetings. Cost is $45 per person; single members may bring a +1. Tina and Jack will be
available at the next meeting in October to accept entrée choices and payment. There will also be
a gift exchange of $20. If you choose to participate, bring a gift and pick a gift.
Arnette House: The Arnette House needs cake mixes for the kids to make for each other’s
birthday so we will be “passing the hat” tonight for a one-time collection so we can purchase
various cake mixes for them. The home in Dunnellon has closed so Arnette House is expecting
to have an influx of children in need of help. If you have not heard or read, Dave and Robin
Rosser have won the outdoor kitchen Arnette House was auctioning off that was built by the kids
at Arnette House. Congratulations!
SECRETARY: Joyce Stone
Meeting Minutes: A motion was made to approve and accept the August 2025 General
Membership Business Meeting Minutes; second made, all in favor, opposed none; therefore, the
August 2025 General Membership Business Meeting Minutes were accepted.
Baskets: Currently a total of eight baskets have been completed for the November Car Show.
Please bring your donations to the October 1 st meeting. This will be the last call. The revenue
from this sale at the Car Show helps our charities. Thank you to all members who have donated.
TREASURER: Jack Carroll
Financial Report: The beginning balance on August 1 st was $11,285.31. Four bank deposits were
made totaling $2,158.00. One mobile deposit was made totaling $65.00. Two charges were made
totaling $115.20. Five checks were written totaling $1,270.19. One bank fee totaling $6.52.
Ending balance August 31 st was $12,346.80. A motion was made to accept the August Financial
Report as reported, second made, all in favor, opposed none; therefore, the August Financial
Report was accepted.
SPONSOR/VENDOR COORDINATOR: Roger Duty
Bagelicious, Tanner Landscape, On the Spot and Reds are renewing Sponsorships. If anyone
would like to bring in an additional sponsor, please talk to me and I will give you the application
and benefits to them sponsoring the club.

September Events: September 11 th , Cruise to Tarpon Springs; September 17 th , ORF’s breakfast at
Cracker Barrel with cruise-in for ice cream at Twistee Treat at 6 p.m.; September 24 th , CCMC
Executive Board Meeting; Monthly dinner at Brick City.
October Events: October 1 st , CCMC General Membership Business Meeting; October 6 th , Cruise
to DeLeon Springs (prepay $16 per person); October 15 th , ORF’s breakfast at Red’s with cruise-
in for ice cream at Jeremiah’s at 6 p.m.; October 22 nd , Monthly dinner at Ivy House; October 29 th ,
CCMC Executive Board Meeting.
November Events: November 5 th , CCMC General Membership Business Meeting; November 8 th ,
CCMC 27 th Annual All-Corvette Car Show; November 15 th , Toys for Tots at Sullivan; November
18 th , ORF’s breakfast at The Farmhouse; November 19 th , CCMC Executive Board Meeting with
cruise-in to Twistee Treat at 6 p.m.; November 30 th , CCMC Holiday Party at Oak Bar & Grill.
National Corvette Museum (NCM) Ambassador: Dave Rosser
There are 5-6 cars that have shown interest in the NCM Big Bash in April. Following the Big
Bash, NCM Wheels in Motion will be traveling to the Biltmore while riding the Tail of the
Dragon. Now, you can sign up to attend both, or one or the other. Either way, you must talk with
Dave Rosser. If you have NCM insurance, you may want to check the competition rider on the
policy involving any track riding. You should check your insurance policy anyway if you plan on
riding on a racetrack. The road track at NCM will be open at the time of the Big Bash.

Unfortunately, Rosalee was ill and unable to attend the meeting.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
2025 All-Corvette Car Show Update: Nick D’Altilio and Tina Farabee
As Roger Peterson has stepped away, Nick and Tina will be show Chairpersons. The show is
going well. A show shirt order will be going in soon. You can see Rosalee to order a shirt for
$18. Registrations are at 59 today: 46 judged, 6 bumper cars, 7 participant choice. As time is
drawing near, anyone can still volunteer.
September Birthdays: Nancy Duty
Birthday wishes go out to Linda Jones, Roxy Sims, Mike Stone, John Farabee, Becky Smith,
Patricia Patten, Glen Sims, Sal Fiore, Larry Heier, Dennis Dold and Bill Read. Celebrate Safely!
Sunshine: Nikki Colom
A get-well card went out to Cynthia McArdle. A thinking of you card went out to Bill Yanss. A
sympathy card went out to Linda Yanss.
Club Shirts: Nikki Colom
The club shirt is a white-collar polo shirt for men and a white shirt/blouse for the ladies.
Purchase your shirt(s), bring them to a meeting with the money and Nikki will have them
embroidered and returned at the next meeting. The logo and name is $15. Checks can be made
out to Brenda Hawter. All shirt embroidery/logo sales must go through CCMC.
Club Caps: Don Messenger
Mesh and baseball cap styles as well as visors with the club logo already on are $15 each and are
available at all meetings.
Club Badges: Ernie Brandes
Magnetic name badges are available for $11. See me after the meeting to order and the badge
will be returned to you at the next meeting.
Food4Kids: Ernie Brandes
It has been a quiet summer with no summer program. The new 2025/2026 volunteer calendar has
been sent out. They have hired a new coordinator, and the program should start back up in mid-
September.
OTHER: Wayne Tanner and Bill Read are looking for corvette driver volunteers to help drive the
Homecoming Court around the football field at halftime. Please talk to Wayne or Bill if you are
interested. They have dates the drivers are needed.
RAFFLES:
50/50: Josette Turner had the lucky number to win $60.
Mimi’s Gift Card: Wayne Schilling won the $10 gift card.
MOTION TO ADJOURN: As there was no other business to address, a motion was made to
adjourn the meeting, second made, all in favor; therefore, the August 2025 General Membership
Business Meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
