Good morning. 12/28/2025 1. THIS JUST IN !!!!! “The Picnic” for this this year will be held on the 4th of July. It is looking like we will have a good old fashioned picnic with burgers and dogs, games and even a car show. I will have more details in the upcoming Report’s. Stay tuned. It’s a lot of fun in the making. 2) 01/01/2026 LAST CALL!!!! We are all set for the Hangover Cruise. We will meet at the Publix parking lot on Hwy 27 to leave at 1:30, no pit stops during the cruise which should last about 1 1/2 hours, ending at the Horse & Hound on Hwy 27. There is more information on the website. Also, please use the sign-up sheet. We need to inform the restaurant of the number of people to be expecting. There is still room for more. Please let your intentions be known. We will try to be home by the time all the important games are on. Update for the Hangover Cruise: The address for Publix located on Hwy 27 is 2765 NW 49th Ave, Ocala. 3) 01/04/2026 This is from Art Roy: I'm having a COL (Celebration of Life) for Jeanne on Sunday, January 4th, 2026, at Tampa Bay Downs beginning at 11:30AM. I am inviting folks from the horse community, Corvette Club (Reserved parking for Vettes), Thoro-Bred Fillies Organization, relatives and friends of Jeanne here in Florida. You can bring along your spouse or a plus 1. Admission, a race program and lunch will be included, you just have to pay for drinks and of course, betting on the ponies!!! A race will be named in her memory. Let's get together to celebrate a woman who loved fast cars, fast horses, friends like you and Florida too!!! I will need a count to reserve the correct venue by next Wednesday, November 26th. Thanks....hope to see you on the 4th of January. Dues are due by the first of January. 5) NCM Bash: Dave has asked that you need to be aware of the events surrounding the NCM Bash scheduled for April 23rd thru the 25th. This consists of multiple events over the 3 day event. What you need to know is that you do not have to attend all of them. Dave will have more information in the weeks ahead. And finally this from Roger Peterson A Seniors Christmas Eve Dream Twas the night before Christmas and we are both in our home, We can’t see very well to drive in the dark so we just don’t roam. We were all snuggled up with our walkers by our chairs. That’s where we sleep now, because we can’t climb the stairs. Our pill boxes are all filled and placed on our side table with care, So when we wake up in the morning we can easily find them there. Just after we both had drifted off to sleep for the night, I heard a strange sound that gave me such a fright. It wasn’t anything inside as I knew all the doors were locked tight, So it had to be something going on outside and it was almost midnight. I tried to get up out of my recliner to see what was the matter, And tripped over my slippers, almost falling with a clatter. I slowly made my way, because I can’t walk very fast anymore, And finally after a few minutes made it to look out our front door. And there in our driveway I saw such an amazing sight, It was Santa in a beautiful red Corvette all shiny and bright. He walked up to the front door and said with a grin, “Would you like to go for a ride, I’ll help you get in. Are you kidding me I shouted back in sheer delight, Santa I would love to go for a ride with you, maybe all night. I asked him, “Santa where is your sleigh and the 8 tiny reindeer? He grinned and said I wanted to drive something special this year. So off we drove out onto the highway, and I had such a grin, I was buckled in the passenger seat and I was a kid of 16 again. As he stepped on the gas the Corvette made an incredible sound, It was as loud as thunder and I’m sure it woke everyone all around. We drove for a while way out to where no one was in the way And Santa said “Let’s open it up, and make it fly just like my sleigh. I don’t know how fast he went, and I really didn’t care We probably didn’t get off the ground but it seemed we were in the air. The next thing I remember is opening my eyes not knowing what to say My wife looked at me and said “Good Morning it’s Christmas Day”. As I wiped the sleep from my eyes, and tried to clear my brain from the fuzz I said to her I think I just had my Christmas wish come true because You won’t believe the dream I had, now if I could only remember what it was.
