Good morning.
To our members.
1) We are still in need of your help! As of now we only have 16
Corvettes for our parade. If you would be available on July 4th to give a
Veteran a ride of honor in our parade, please use the signup sheet in the
“Members Only” website located under Events. Last year we had 28
Corvettes in the parade, and it was a fantastic day for our Veterans so
let’s try to get that many again!
We will meet here in Del Webb in the parking lot by our Community
Center at 8am to get lined up and matched with a Veteran rider before
the parade begins at 9am. The ride down our resident lined boulevard
and the service at our Veteran’s Memorial Park should only take a little
over an hour so there will be plenty of time left to enjoy the rest our
holiday with family.
Roger Peterson has a meeting with the parade committee on
Friday afternoon where he needs to give a car count so please, if you
can, sign up by then. I would appreciate it! If we cannot get enough
Corvettes we will have to open it up to other sports cars, something we
have never had to do.
Please help us fill the openings that we still have. I appreciate
those of you who have signed up. If you have not, then please consider
helping if you can. Even if you haven’t signed up and you want to go,
show up and we will fit you in.
