CORVETTE CLUB OF MARION COUNTY
General Membership Business Meeting Minutes
May 3, 2026
PRESIDENT: Mike Stone
Mike called the meeting to order at 7 p.m., welcomed everyone to the meeting and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mike went on to welcome Dani Fee from Food4Kids who explained to the
membership the “Backpack Program”. It started in 2004 and CCMC has been part of the process
for 22 years. Robert Kuperberg first picked up the backpacks in his corvette. Today the program has grown where we need to bring a SUV to pick up between 17-26 bags of food to deliver to
Harbour View Elementary School so underprivileged children can have enough food for the weekend. Dani has been a great asset to this program. She aspires to build the Backpack Program
so food will be available during school breaks as well as during the summer. Dani will be reaching out to the community having fundraisers to earn extra funds to achieve her goals.
CCMC meets criteria to become part of the “Pack” where CCMC will join with Regions Bank, Ocala Lions Club and AutoZone Distribution supporting the School Backpack Program. At this
point, Tina and Ernie presented Dani and Jessica with a $2000 check to help buy backpacks for the upcoming school year. Dani and Jessica were very much appreciative and thanked the
membership for all they do to make this program a success.
Mike reviewed April activities including ORF’s Breakfast at the Farmhouse, Jeremiah’s for ice cream, Chris Cruz Tour, which was a lovely afternoon with several prizes awarded, cruise to
monthly dinner at Pasta Faire and the big event being the NCM Bash. Many stories were shared with the membership and not enough could be said for the wonderful time we all had. Plans for
2027 NCM Bash are being made with hopes that more of the membership will attend.
The next Executive Board Meeting will be held on May 27 th, starting with breakfast at Mimi’s at
8:30 and the meeting to follow at 9:30. Membership is welcome to attend.
