CORVETTE CLUB OF MARION COUNTY
General Membership Business Meeting Minutes
October 1, 2025
PRESIDENT: Mike Stone
Mike called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Following the usual pleasantries, we had a moment
of silence in memory of Bill Yanss followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. It was discussed at the
Board Meeting having events held on weekends as well as during the week. Cheryl will start
planning in 2026 accordingly. The next Board Meeting will be on October 29 th . Membership is
always welcome to attend at 8:30 a.m. breakfast and meeting at 9:30 a.m. September was a busy
month. Your participation is what makes these events fun. Thanks to Cheryl’s planning, we
traveled to Tarpon Springs, ate lunch at Hellas Restaurant, and indulged in their wonderful
deserts. We had ORF’s breakfast at Cracker Barrel and later our ice cream cruise-in to Twistee
Treat. Our monthly dinner was switched at the last minute to Brick City which was enjoyed by
23 members. Anyone who has not signed up to help with the car show November 8 th , there is still
time. More people, less work, and a lot more fun for everyone.

boost. She is happy as her encounter with Love Bugs came to a screeching halt with the use of a
hose to clean them off.

gave the first reading as follows:
WEBMASTER RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of the Webmaster within a club is essential for
maintaining a robust online presence and facilitating effective communication among members

Holiday Party: We started taking entrée orders and payment for the Holiday dinner tonight. We
will accept the same at the November General Membership Business Meeting, November 5 th .
The cost is $45 per plate or $90 per couple. We will have a bin set up for food to help with the
IES/Backpack Program. The list of foods they need will be listed on the invitation along with the
directions to Oak Run Bar & Grill. We will also have a $20 optional gift exchange.
Arnette House: At the last meeting we “passed the hat” to purchase cake mixes for the kids to
make cakes on each other’s birthdays. We were able to raise $177. These cake mixes were
delivered to Arnette House who sent us a lovely thank you card.
