CORVETTE CLUB OF MARION COUNTY
General Membership Business Meeting
August 6, 2025
PRESIDENT: Mike Stone
Mike called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and welcomed all members, guests, and new
members. Mike mentioned we are still in need of volunteers for the November Car Show, please
sign up on the way out if you have not done so. The more people, the less work and the more fun
it is for the club members. Stay tuned after the meeting as Dennis Sundermeyer and his son rode
the Tail of the Dragon and has a short film of the ride and beautiful scenery to share.
VICE PRESIDENT: Tina Farabee
Membership Update: 75 families.
New Members/Guests: Joan Cantwell and Louis Wickman attended our meeting this evening as
guests. Joan has a 2016 C7 White with Black racing stripes and Louis has a 2005 Red

New Car Purchases/Changes: Congratulations to Cheryl Whiteley who replaced her Yellow C5
convertible with a new C6 Yellow Grand Sport convertible.
Service Providers Pros/Cons: John Farabee shared with us he had dents removed from his
Mercedes by “The Dent Trooper” who came to his house and removed four dents for $75. John
highly recommends this company who uses a paintless dent removal process. Mike Kurlakowsky
has his C4 corvette back after needing extensive transmission work done. He took his car to
Turner Transmission Services in Ocala who lifted the trans out, sent it to New York for service,
and then sent it back to Turner Transmissions with a 10-day turn-around-time. Mike recommends
this local company to help with any transmission issues.
